Smoothie with Da Zao and Gou Qi Zi
INGREDIENTS
- 6-8 da zao (dried red dates)
- 2 tablespoons gou qi zi (dried goji berries)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup frozen berries (e.g. strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 cup spinach or kale
- 1 cup almond milk (or other plant milk)Optional:

- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
RECIPE
1. Soak the da zao and gou qi zi in warm water until they have softened (approx. 10-15 minutes). Then drain the water and put the soaked fruit to one side.
2 Peel the banana and cut into pieces.
3. Put all the ingredients, including the soaked da zao and gou qi zi, into a blender.
4. Switch on the blender and blend everything well until you have a creamy and smooth smoothie.
5. If necessary, add ice cubes to cool and dilute the smoothie.
6. Pour the smoothie into glasses and garnish with chia seeds, honey or maple syrup as desired.
7. Serve and enjoy immediately.
