Rice Bowl with Chicken, Goji Berries, and Sesame Seeds
When daily life becomes more hectic again, the body needs simple, balanced meals that provide strength without weighing it down. In TCM, warm grain dishes play a central role, as they strengthen the middle and support a stable energy supply.
This rice bowl combines tender chicken with gou qi zi (goji berries) and hei zhi ma (black sesame seeds)—two classic TCM ingredients that nourish the blood and yin. Together with warm rice and gently cooked vegetables, the result is a harmonious dish that nourishes and strengthens while remaining light.

INSTRUCTIONS
Cook the rice in lightly salted water until it is tender and fluffy. Meanwhile, cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and gently sauté them in a pan with a little oil until they are cooked through and lightly golden brown. Cut the carrot into thin strips and cook them briefly with the chicken and your choice of vegetables until everything is tender but still slightly firm to the bite.
Soak the goji berries briefly in warm water, then drain. Place the cooked rice in a bowl, arrange the chicken and vegetables on top, and mix everything together gently. Finally, fold in the goji berries, sprinkle with black sesame seeds, and serve the bowl warm.
