Looking for a Healthy Snack for an Energy Boost Between Meals?

These da zao and goji berry energy balls are the perfect choice! Packed with nutritious ingredients from TCM, they are not only delicious but also very healthy.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 g da zao (red dates)*
  • 50 g gou qi zi (goji berries)*
  • 100 g nuts (almonds, walnuts or cashews)
  • 2 tbsp chen pi (dried mandarin orange peel), optional*
  • 1 tbsp hei zi ma (black sesame seeds)*
  • 2 tbsp honey or agave syrup
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • grated coconut (for topping), optional

Energie Bällchen

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preparation
Cut the da zao into small pieces and soak together with the goji berries in warm water for approx. 10 minutes (until soft). Roughly chop the nuts.

2. Mix
Mix da zao, gou qi zi, chopped nuts, chen pi (optional), hei zhi ma, honey and salt well in a bowl.

3. Form into Balls
Take small portions and shape into balls. Optionally roll in grated coconut.

4. Chill
Place on a baking tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

5. Serve
Enjoy and enjoy the nutritious snack!
