Breakfast congee
A warm breakfast provides a lot of energy for the day and is often recommended in TCM practices. Depending on the diagnosis, various ingredients from the Materia Medica can be used. LIAN offers two ready-made congee mixtures complete with rice and herbs. The LianBao Power Breakfast with a hint of cinnamon and citrus and the LianBao Ba Bao Zhou Vital Breakfast with a taste of cardamom and honey. For other variations, you can put together the blends in the OOS as a raw herb recipe as you wish. Rice can also be selected as a “raw herb”. Simple rice congees can also be spiced up with a few additives from the LIAN food range or supermarket.

INGREDIENTS
- 60 g jing mi - round grain rice
- 25 g da zao - red dates *
- 20 g long yan rou - longan fruits *
- 20 g he tao ren - walnuts
- 1 half hu tao ren - apple
- 1 tsp feng mi - honey

INSTRUCTIONS
Cover the rice, da zao and long yan rou and leave to soak overnight. In the morning, bring to the boil for 15 minutes and pour into the bowl. Cut the apple into thin slices and roast together with the walnuts over a medium heat and spread over the congee as a topping.
