Heart, mind, and sleep in balance

TCM Vortragsreihe - Heart, mind, and sleep in balance

A Talk From the Perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Restful sleep is one of the most important foundations for health, inner peace, and quality of life. But what happens when our thoughts keep racing, our sleep is restless, or we don’t feel truly refreshed in the morning?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the heart is understood not only as a physical organ but also as the seat of the spirit (Shen). It plays a central role in our emotional balance, our inner clarity, and the quality of our sleep. If this balance is disrupted, it can manifest as restlessness, sleep disturbances, or inner tension.

In this lecture, you will learn how the heart and mind are connected—and how this interaction can be specifically supported.

What you can expect from the presentation:

  • Heart & Mind in Harmony:The heart is the seat of the mind and influences our inner peace as well as our ability to let go
  • Sleep as a Reflection of Balance:A peaceful, deep sleep occurs when body and mind are in harmony
  • Understanding the Causes of Restlessness:From a TCM perspective, inner tension, the flow of thoughts, and emotional stress are viewed holistically
  • Natural support:Gentle approaches help strengthen the heart, calm the mind, and promote sleep
  • Nighttime rituals:Small, regular habits in daily life can help you unwind more easily and sleep more restfully

Look forward to inspiring insights and practical tips for greater inner balance and healthy sleep.
