We have improved the functions in the OOS for prescribing raw herbs

In the options for prescribing raw herbs, the selection for defining the dosing method entered in the prescription has been revised. This means that the previous buttons "Simple" and "Advanced" have been removed from the dosage options. These are now displayed as a preselection in the menu next to the Pinyin / Pharmaceutical columns above the prescription.

The selections "Quantity (g) per Portion", "Daily Dose (g)", "Total Quantity (g)" determine the way the dosage is calculated in the OOS and the selection options available in the "Dosage Raw Herbs" section. We will briefly introduce you to the new calculation methods:

Quantity (g) per Portion

In this mode, the quantities of herbs per cooking portion are entered in the prescription. In the “Dosage Raw Herbs” section you have the option of entering the number of cooking portions. The OOS calculates the total quantity immediately. The "Quantity per Portion (g)" mode is selected by default. Provided you do not make any changes to "Dosage Raw Herbs", you will receive the prescribed herbs in a single bag.

Select the "Treatment Duration (Days) per Portion" checkbox to display further options. Here you can specify for how many days a cooking portion should last for. The OOS immediately calculates the treatment duration in addition to the total quantity. You can also select whether you want to be able to select the cooking processes (Pre-cook, Standard, Add Near End) and our cooking instructions.

Daily Dose (g)

If you work with daily doses, select the "Daily Dose" function. Under "Raw Herb Dosage", the fields "Treatment Duration (Days)" and "One Portion Lasts for (Days)" can be defined. The OOS calculates the total amount immediately. In addition, select whether you want to be able to select the cooking processes (Pre-cook, Standard, Add Near End) and our cooking instructions.

Total Quantity (g)

In this mode, the total amount of herbs is entered in the prescription. In "Dosage Raw Herbs", it is possible to define how many cooking portions the total amount is divided into. Select the "Treatment Duration (Days) per Portion" checkbox to display further options. Here you can specify for how many days a cooking portion should last. The OOS calculates the treatment duration immediately. In addition, select whether you want to be able to select the cooking processes (Pre-cook, Standard, Add Near End) and our cooking instructions.
